Awesome Beetle Camper Available in 1974 - Why Not Now?

 The 1970's brought an awesome top-mounting camping trailer for small cars like the Beetle.  It had excellent maneuverability, was light-weight, and the central mounting gave it great stability.  Today we the smart is much more powerful than the old Beetle, but we're hard pressed to find anything similar here.  Why's that?  Video below . . .
